The Equality Act: What it is and how it affects us

The so-called “Equality Act” (H.R. 5) is an extremely dangers and nonsensical piece of legislation that attempts to redefine “sex” as “sexual orientation and gender identity.” Because we cannot and do not want to discriminate based on sex, sexual orientation and gender identity become protected classes.

The repercussions are great. Not only is free access to places such as locker rooms specifically spelled out in the bill, but women’s sports are under attack and abortion is promoted.

As if that were not enough, the Act specifically forbids the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 to be used as a defense for a person accused of discrimination.
