In Matthew 15 and Mark 7, Jesus supposedly called a Gentile woman a dog. Brandan Robertson, a pastor from California, recently made a big deal of this in a TikTok upload where he claimed Jesus repented of His racism when this woman spoke truth to power after He issues a racist slur by calling her a dog.
But is that what really happened? Not at all.
This passage is about the faith of the woman. We learn three lessons through it:
