President Donald Trump has been signing a flurry of executive orders since he took office. Four of these stand out to me as unnecessary, but extremely necessary. The first two are focused on the gender lunacy that we have experienced the past several years and the second two deal with abortion.
1. Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government
The name says it all. There are only two genders and it’s about time a president realized that. It’s simply a return to common sense.
2. Keeping Men out of Women’s Sports
What do we call a man who wants to play in women’s sports? He is either confused, a pervert, or a sissy.
3. Enforcing the Hyde Amendment
The Hyde Amendment is a “rider” that is attached to annual appropriations bills. Primarily it is attached to the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education (LHHS) Appropriations bill. However, it also can show up in bills to fund the Department of Defense, Foreign Operations, and other appropriations bills.
The Amendment prohibits federal funding for abortion, which means that Medicaid and Medicare will not pay for it (due to its presence in the LHHS bills).
4. The Mexico City Policy
The Mexico City Policy, also known as the “Global Gag Rule,” is a U.S. government policy that blocks U.S. federal funding for foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that provide abortion counseling or referrals or advocate to decriminalize abortion. Democrat presidents rescind it and Republican presidents reinstate it.
