The Truth about Margaret Sanger

Margaret Sanger is what we could call “the matriarch of birth control.” In the early 1900s, she became a world-renowned advocate of birth control, challenging the Comstock Act in America. While she did not directly found Planned Parenthood, she did establish the entity that led to it and was involved in its formation. Margaret Sanger did not promote abortion, but our purpose for understanding her is because of her support of eugenics, her advocation of the sexual revolution, and her push to make birth control readily available. As we saw in a recent video, birth control became the catalyst for acceptance of abortion.
