Last week (June 10-11, 2025) the Southern Baptist Convention met in Dallas, Texas. In my opinion, it was a mixed bag. Some good things happened, and some not-so-good things happened. Some of the resolutions were very good—for example, the resolution on gender & marriage, as well as the resolution standing against chemical abortion pills.
There were three major issues that I knew would come up. Here were the results:
1. A constitutional amendment limited the office of pastor to men failed
2. A motion to abolish the ERLC failed
3. A motion to required transparency within the entities failed

It looks like every contortionist available teamed up to NOT deal with the elephant in the room! What’s that, you ask? THAT is the ongoing STEALTH TAKEOVER OF TRADITIONAL SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCHES BY CLOSET CALVINISTS/SECRETLY REFORMED PASTORS!!! This “movement” was almost derailed by the wave of CRT/I and DEI that swept through the denomination over a recent 3-4 year period. That racist abomination has been put down! Now, the “conservative” Calvinist/Reformed movement is fully back in the driver’s seat. By that I mean Convention Headquarters, ERLC, Seminaries, Lifeway, NAMB and IMB. For whatever reason, there has been a wave of removing “Baptist” from the name of many Southern Baptist churches. But, there has NOT been a wave of ADDING THE WORD “REFORMED” to the name of churches taken over by this man made, errant, covert belief system. Why? Because, deep down they know people WILL NOT flock to it. THEY MUST BE TRICKED IN TO IT … INDOCTRINATED WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE!!! As we look at the statistics of people walking away from Southern Baptist churches, many wonder WHY? It is because members are being tricked and lied to!!! Over a period of 5-7 years a “new” Pastor quietly indoctrinates the necessary people who will help him STAY when he come out as a leader who embraces whatever portion of what is called the TULIP acronym. As the controversy unfolds, many times the church splits!!! In our case, 350 people (including every charter member) were given the ultimatum of leave, or be turned out of the church. We left. That Pastor KEPT a debt free, multimillion dollar facility. The remaining members received a letter asking them to turn off lights when leaving a room …. but not to worry because they’d laid back ONE MILLION DOLLARS to help them thru upcoming hard times (only about 200 people remained, and some of those have since left). In the meantime, another church was started, some went to other existing Baptist churches they felt they could TRUST, some went to nondenominational churches ….. BUT MANY PEOPLE COMPLETELY WALKED AWAY!!!!
THIS IS WHY the Southern Baptist Convention is hemorrhaging members!!!! People DO NOT wish to be tricked, and have THEIR BELIEF SYSTEM COVERTLY CHANGED OUT FROM UNDER THEM!!!! It is a shame what’s going on … what’s being covertly led from the top down!!!!
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE if you are in search of a Pastor!!!! These people will completely LIE TO GET THE JOB!!! Put VERY STRONG LANGUAGE IN YOUR BYLAWS THAT IF “ANY PORTION” OF CALVINISM/REFORMED THEOLOGY BECOMES PART OF THE PASTOR’S LEADERSHIP, HE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY FIRED (not just ASKED to leave)!!! Because THEY WILL NOT LEAVE WILLINGLY!!!! They will fall silent, except for their established group, they will shred every bit of civility in a church office, they will employ the equivalent of guard dogs to surround them so they don’t have to engage with members, they will have deacon meetings ONLY with the ones who support them, etc. THE MOST UGLY, DARK, NONRELIGIOUS TACTICS ARE PUT IN PLAY.
When our person finally agreed to talk (after 3 months) … it was a 45 minute FORUM, and he had a FAMILY PSYCHOLOGIST sitting beside him. We were told if the psych guy perceived a question to be controversial or hostile, he’d stop the Pastor from answering. A person was allowed one question with NO followup. The Pastor rambled in generalities until people got restless enough that he’d stop. There were people planted to ask some questions … his supporters. They basically said tell us why you’re so wonderful…which again, he’d ramble until people got restless enough to be uncomfortable, then he’d stop. WE wound up asking 10 questions, and did not get one concrete answer!!! The Pastor rambled mostly about trying to decide HOW MANY POINTS OF CALVINISM he believed!!!
Our wonderful, beautiful church family was shattered by this man … who was led to where he was by entities of the SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION!!! Our family loving, community-serving, TRADITIONAL SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH was ripped to shreds by a man who (evidently) felt such guilt for what he’d done, that he retired within 5 years. He moved to another state …. leaving the carnage of what had once been a vibrant TRADITIONAL church in his wake.
THIS IS WHAT THE DELEGATES TO A SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION NEED TO BE TALKING ABOUT!!!! But they’re not!!! Why? The ones who are in on it … meaning leadership, and SOME DELEGATES need everyone to be talking about everything else but the stealth takeover of TRADITIONAL Southern Baptist churches by covert/lying Pastors. All the OTHER DELEGATES at the convention do NOT even know such a thing is going on in the Southern Baptist Convention!!! They are happy Christians … going along thinking everything is relatively well!!!!! It is sad. They have no idea that at any moment in their own church … a tidal wave of destruction can sweep thru, and destroy their peaceful, wonderful congregation!!!!!
Last word::: SHORE UP YOUR BYLAWS, AND EVERY OTHER DOCUMENT YOU CAN TO 💯% PROTECT YOUR CHURCH IF YOU ARE FACED WITH THIS INVASION!!!!

The above comments, critical of the takeover of Traditional Southern Baptist Churches, will never be published. That’s how it works! The SBC was designed to be a circle … closed to all interference … stealth in its design. I suppose that has served it well over the years.
It will NOT survive what is going on now … not in the long run. One man in particular, still thinks he’s got the world by the tail. He’s gonna oversee the successful transfer away from traditional … it’s been his lifelong goal. What I will say to him, and others, is that in the end, you will preside over a shell of what existed when you came. And, Christ will lay all the destruction at your feet … and at the feet of the people who helped carry out the dishonesty to the people, and the dishonor of God.
We’ve read the Book … we knew who wins in the end!!!
